Character Design Progress

Character Design for Adv. Digital Illustration

Yeah, I know it's more like REGRESSION than progress, but at least it's something! Working on a couple different color studies before I dive into this fully...I figure it'll take me maybe a whole day to do this...maybe a day and a half...we'll see!

Animation Update!

Flour Sack Animation....Chubby-loser-boy flour sack meets cute-girl flour sack....high-jinx ensue. WITH SOUND! ...Bad sound, but SOUND nonetheless!

Walk Across the Page...This torso-less pair of legs is fully capable of explaining itself.

Normal Walk Cycle...stealthy, lanky ninja with stripes that made me want to stab myself in the eye with my pencil afterward.

Attitude Walk (Anything goes!) ....cowboy walk. 'Nuff said. Also sound! Would've loved to have time to give him a hat though.

Cowardly Lion?

And here is the result of my first Traditional Illustration project!

It was mostly just a bunch of mini pieces meant to introduce us to several different mediums and ways to create an illustration. We had to choose two "objects" and just use them over and over.

I posted these in the order that they were assigned.

Pencil Rendering
Line in ink
Silhouette in ink
Scale reversal silhouette in gouache
Cropping using ink and watercolors
Geometric shapes in colored pencil
Historical/cultural reference using gouache and ink
Window effect using acrylic and colored pencils
Metamorphosis/Combination using ink and colored pencil
